Carolina Arlota is currently the Managing Attorney for AmeriLit. She is a licensed attorney in New York and a passionate advocate for consumer protection with a doctorate in Law and Economics. Prior to joining AmeriLit, Dr. Arlota held different academic positions in the United States, including Associate Research Scholar for the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School (in New York City) and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma, College of Law. At OU Law, she has taught several courses on International Commercial and Investment Arbitration, International Business Transactions, Comparative Law, and International Energy Law. Before moving to the United States, Dr. Arlota held prestigious clerkships in Brazil and worked as an attorney for Petroleo Brasileiro S.A—PETROBRAS, the Brazilian state-controlled energy company, where she supervised international counsel hired by PETROBRAS across South America, specifically. Dr. Arlota holds an LL.M. and a J.S.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, College of Law.
